Frequently Asked Questions

Does character count include spaces?

We provide both metrics. "Chars" includes spaces, tabs, and line breaks. "Chars (No Space)" counts only the visible letters and numbers. Most social media platforms count spaces.

What is a good readability score?

For general web content, aim for a "Standard (8th Grade)" level (Score 60-70). This ensures your content is accessible to a wide audience. Academic papers may score lower (30-50), which is fine for that context.
