Minecraft Anvil Optimizer (The "Too Expensive" Fix)
Have you ever tried to add the final enchantment to your sword only to see the dreaded "Too Expensive!" message? This happens because Minecraft's anvil mechanics penalize you for combining items inefficiently.
How the Anvil Works
Every time you work on an item in an anvil, its "Prior Work Penalty" doubles. If this penalty + the enchantment cost exceeds 39 Levels, the game locks the item permanently.
To build "God Gear" (items with 6+ enchantments like Sharpness V, Looting III, Mending, Unbreaking III, etc.), you cannot just add books one by one. You must combine them in a Pyramid (Binary Tree) structure.
How to use this tool?
- Select Enchantments: Choose all the books you want to put on your gear (e.g., Protection IV, Mending).
- Calculate: Our algorithm checks thousands of combinations to find the order with the lowest XP cost.
- Follow Steps: Combine your books exactly as shown in the diagram. Do not skip steps!
Pro Tip: The 2-Step Rule
Always combine books into pairs first (e.g., Mending + Unbreaking), then combine those pairs. Never add more than 2 single books directly to your main weapon.
