How to get higher CPS?

  • 1. Jitter Clicking:Vibrating your hand muscles to click rapidly. Hard to aim, but high speed (10-14 CPS).
  • 2. Butterfly Clicking:Using two fingers on one mouse button alternatively. Requires a wide mouse (15-25 CPS).
  • 3. Drag Clicking:Dragging your finger across the button to create friction bounces. Used for bridging in Minecraft (30+ CPS).

CPS Test - Check Your Clicks Per Second

The RootUtils CPS Test is a free tool to measure your mouse clicking speed. "CPS" stands for Clicks Per Second. It is a critical metric for competitive gaming, especially in Minecraft PvP, FPS shooters, and idle games.

How to take the test?

  1. Select Duration: Choose a time limit (1, 3, 5, 10, or 60 seconds). The standard is 5 seconds.
  2. Start Clicking: Click the big purple area as fast as you can. The timer starts automatically on your first click.
  3. See Results: Once the timer hits zero, we will calculate your exact CPS and give you a rank.

What is a good CPS score?

  • 6-7 CPS: The average for a regular computer user.
  • 8-10 CPS: A decent score for casual gaming.
  • 12+ CPS: Advanced level. Usually requires special techniques like Jitter or Butterfly clicking.
