Minecraft Server Status Checker

Is your favorite Minecraft server down? The RootUtils Server Status Checker is a free diagnostic tool that pings any public Minecraft server (Java or Bedrock) to see if it is online.

What information do we check?

  • Online Status: We attempt to establish a handshake connection to the server IP.
  • Player Count: View how many people are currently playing vs. the server's maximum capacity.
  • MOTD (Message of the Day): We display the server's description exactly as it appears in the multiplayer menu, supporting full color codes and formatting.
  • SRV Records: We automatically resolve DNS SRV records, so you don't need to know the hidden port number (e.g., you can just type play.hypixel.net).

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If a server shows as "Offline" here but works for your friends, the issue might be on your end (Firewall, DNS, or ISP). If it shows "Offline" here, it is likely down for everyone or undergoing maintenance.

Supported Addresses

You can enter domains (mc.example.com), raw IP addresses (192.168.1.1), and specific ports (example.com:25565). This tool supports both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition servers.
