Minecraft Circle, Oval & Sphere Generator

Building perfect circles in a blocky world like Minecraft is notoriously difficult. The RootUtils Circle Generator calculates the exact placement of blocks needed to create circles, ellipses, and ovals of any size.

How to use this tool?

  1. Enter Dimensions: Input your desired width and height. Keep them equal for a perfect circle, or unlock the aspect ratio to create an oval.
  2. Choose Style: Toggle between "Thick/Hollow" (for walls) or "Filled" (for floors and platforms).
  3. Follow the Grid: The generator produces a pixel-perfect template. Each yellow square represents one block in-game.

Features

  • Pixel Perfect Accuracy: Uses standard rasterization algorithms to match the aesthetic of Minecraft.
  • Stack Calculator: Automatically calculates how many stacks of blocks (64) you need to gather.
  • Downloadable Templates: Save the grid as an image to keep on your second monitor while you build.
  • Sphere Building: To build a sphere, generate a circle for the widest point (the equator), then decrease the diameter for each layer moving up and down.

Why use odd numbers?

Experienced builders often prefer odd-numbered diameters (e.g., 9, 15, 21) because they have asingle center block. Even numbers (e.g., 10, 16) have a 2x2 center, which can make placing doors, beacons, or pointed roofs more difficult to align symmetrically.
