Security Types Explained

WPA / WPA2 / WPA3

Select this for 99% of modern routers. It is the standard security protocol. If you aren't sure, pick this one.

WEP

An older, less secure standard. Only select this if you are using very old hardware (from before 2004).

FAQ

What if my network is hidden?

Check the "Hidden Network" box. This adds a special flag (`H:true`) to the QR code so devices know to search for a hidden SSID instead of scanning the public broadcast list.

Why won't it scan?

Ensure you selected the correct security type (usually WPA). Also, WiFi QR codes are case-sensitive, so "MyWifi" and "mywifi" are different networks. Double-check your capitalization.
