Price Ladder (Rounding‑Aware)

Shows the next listing prices where your net changes (so you can avoid “paying more for the same net”).

Effective tax isn’t always exactly 30.00% because of rounding — the ladder models that.

Some Robux from sales can be held in pending (escrow) before you can spend or cash out. Check My Transactions for your account’s status.

Rounding Matters

Roblox earnings are rounded down. The price ladder helps you choose values where your net actually increases.

Roblox Tax Calculator (Fee + Rounding) — DevEx, Trading Break‑Even, and Cashout Planning

The RootUtils Roblox Tax Calculator helps you price gamepasses, developer products, classic clothing, and marketplace listings by showing what you actually receive after fees — including the small but real effect of rounding down. It also includes a Trader Break‑Even calculator for Limited flips and a Cashout Planner for DevEx estimates.

Everything here is math. Roblox policies (fees, pending/escrow behavior, DevEx eligibility, and exchange rates) can change. That’s why this tool lets you set your own fee and conversion rate.

Accurate Roblox Fee Math (Not Just “70%”)

Many calculators stop at “keep 70%.” But Roblox earnings are commonly calculated using a floor() style rounding, meaning you can pay a higher listing price and still get the same net.

Core formulas

  • Net (earned Robux): floor(listPrice × keep%)
  • Fee: listPrice − net
  • Net → Price (minimum price to reach a target): min listPrice where floor(listPrice × keep%) ≥ targetNet

Unique Feature: Price Ladder That Avoids “Pay More, Get the Same”

The built‑in Price Ladder shows the next listing prices where your net changes. This makes it easy to avoid pricing mistakes caused by rounding.

  • Receiver Mode: input the net you want, get the cheapest listing price that reaches it.
  • Copy/Export: copy the ladder as CSV or download it for spreadsheets.
  • Effective Tax: see how rounding changes the real fee percentage on each step.

Trader Break‑Even Calculator for Limited Flips

If you buy a Limited for X, you don’t break even until your net after fees is at least X. Trader Mode calculates the minimum listing price to break even, plus the listing price to hit a profit target.

  • Break‑even price and net
  • Profit target price and net
  • Profit and ROI (%)

DevEx USD Estimate + Cashout Planner

DevEx is the program Roblox creators use to exchange eligible earned Robux for USD. The planner estimates how many earned Robux you’d need for a USD goal, and what listing price would be required to earn that Robux after marketplace fees.

  • Choose a published DevEx rate (or set a custom conversion rate).
  • Enter a USD target to see earned Robux needed.
  • See the listing price needed to reach that earned Robux after fees.

This is an estimate for planning only. Actual cashout depends on Roblox eligibility rules and policy.

FAQ

Why does my “effective tax” sometimes look higher than the fee rate?

Because net earnings are commonly rounded down. On small prices, rounding can make the effective fee slightly higher.

Is the fee always 30%?

Many common sales use a 30% style marketplace fee, but revenue splits can vary by category and policy changes. That’s why RootUtils lets you override the fee percentage.

Does this tool tell me how long pending Robux will take?

No — pending/escrow behavior depends on Roblox. Use “My Transactions” to see your account’s pending status.
